The VGN-NR160E/S wireless networking connection works properly despite the lack of 802.11n capability. The system managed 17.3 and 16.8 Mbps of throughput at 15 and 50 feet from the access point respectively. Sony has also provided a wireless switch in addition to the hardware switch at the base of the body.

The Sony VAIO VGN-NR160E/S is comparatively speedy notebook and to get such a performance for just over $800 is a great thing for the consumers.
